GUNS N' ROSES left the stage for more than 30 minutes during last nights concert at the O2 in Dublin, Ireland after a bottle was thrown up on stage following a warning from singer Axl Rose. The band's show reportedly started well over an hour after the support act, had finished playing. Some angry fans booed and threw a few beer/water bottles on stage in protest at the delay causing Rose to declare, "Alright, here's the deal. One more bottle, we go home. It's up to you. We would like to stay." According to the report, "The gig continued for another three songs and as Rose was introducing the band, another missile was thrown at the band. At this, Rose took the band, bid his goodnight and stormed off the stage at about 10:50 p.m." The report adds, "Just after 11 p.m., a member of the O2 staff arrived on stage telling the crowd that there were some 'technical difficulties' and they were trying to get GUNS N' ROSES back on stage. A short while after, another staff member arrived on stage to plead with the now-depleting crowd to stop throwing bottles as they were still trying to get Axl Rose to return to the stage. [At] 11:10 p.m., the main lights came on and the majority of the crowd left The O2." According to Entertainment.ie, GUNS N' ROSES returned to the stage at about 11:25 p.m. and "continued playing a set to a small but pretty irate crowd."

Green Day was performing in Denver, Colorado when they debuted a brand new song called "Cigarettes And Valentines." "Cigarettes And Valentines" isn't exactly new, but you may have never heard it before. In 2003, the band recorded 20 songs for a follow-up LP to their "Shenanigans" album that they were going to call "Cigarettes And Valentines". That never happened because the master recordings were mysteriously stolen from the studio. Instead of starting from scratch, Green Day made "American Idiot" instead. So this tune is kind of like a holdover. Green Day also announced they were recorded a new live album at their concert in Denver this past Saturday.

GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose has commented on the band's appearances this past weekend at the U.K.'s Leeds and Reading festivals, the latter of which was cut short by the festival organizers due to curfew issues. In a message on Twitlonger.com, a related Twitter site where one can post messages longer than 140 characters, Rose wrote, "Don't know what it is with us or these last two shows. Takes the fun out it for everyone — fans, band and crew alike, but whatever. So you know, we allegedly had a deal in place pre-show with the city at least at Leeds to do a bit longer performance that was either miscommunication, someone wasn't informed, changed their mind, didn't care or was a con. Regardless, the nonsense just seems so unnecessary but without real management or industry presence is unfortunately beyond our control. We hope the fans feel they got at least what they could from us under the circumstances as for us all things considered that's the main thing. The rest is filler. Anyway, enough rambling. Peace, thanks for understanding and what we did manage to get done out there was a blast! The crowds and fans were amazing!! And in our opinion (not that apparently it means much) you deserved better!! Thanks again!!"

Chickenfoot is recording its second album, but frontman Sammy Hagar is worried about keeping the band together. That's because drummer Chad Smith's regular gig with the Red Hot Chili Peppers is about to get going again. Sammy said: "Once they start recording, Chad's never going to be able to get a break. If he does, he'll get a couple weeks here, a couple days there, which is not really enough to devote to Chickenfoot. And when they're done with the album they're gonna go on the road for a year and a half. So we either have to get a new drummer or wait for Chad, which is unfair to Chickenfoot. It's too good a band. We care, but at the same time, Chickenfoot is not mandatory. It's not like we feel like, 'Hey, this is our only chance in life.' Everyone's already been there, done that. Chickenfoot is not our bread and butter, and I think that's really important."

U.K. Festival Organizers Pull Plug On GUNS N' ROSES' Set Due To Curfew Issues
According to NME.com, GUNS N' ROSES' appearance at the Reading festival earlier tonight (Friday, August 27) was cut short after the organizers pulled the plug on the band's performance due to curfew issues.

GUNS N' ROSES kicked off the show at 10:30 p.m. — over an hour later than scheduled — and managed to play the majority of its set until roughly midnight despite earlier warnings from festival organizer Melvin Benn that he would not tolerate the band playing past 11:30 p.m.

GUNS N' ROSES walked offstage after playing "Nighttrain" and tried to return for an encore, at which point the band's sound was cut. According to NME.com, the group "still tried to launch into 'Paradise City', though only the drums could be heard as all other instruments had been switched off. As the crowd started to sing the track, [singer Axl] Rose tried to greet members of the audience while singing through a megaphone." This went on for roughly five minutes, before the GN'R bandmembers came together on the stage for a final bow and walked off.

Heres the video, watch out for some vulgar language from the crowd:

Bassist Ben Shepherd of reunited grunge legends SOUNDGARDEN has issued a statement in response to a new cover story in Spin magazine in which he is quoted as saying that he's living "nowhere" at the moment and implying that he is homeless.

In the Spin issue, which is now available on newsstands, the members of SOUNDGARDEN speak out on getting back together after 13 years. Singer Chris Cornell, drummer Matt Cameron, guitarist Kim Thayil and Shepherd are all interviewed, in addition to Cornell's ex-wife and SOUNDGARDEN's former manager, Susan Silver.

When asked by the Spin writer where he lives, Shepherd replies, "Nowhere. Literally. I've been sleeping on studio couches and at friends' houses. I'm totally broke." He adds that he took SOUNDGARDEN's 1997 breakup the hardest, saying, "My whole life seemed over . . . my fiancée broke up with me, and then I broke three ribs. I got addicted to pain pills, drank a ton, and wound up OD'ing on morphine. I was laid out in my house for five days, and no one knew it."

In a statement that was posted yesterday (Tuesday, August 24) on SOUNDGARDEN's official web site, Shepherd attempts to clarify his comments in the Spin story, saying, "I feel the banner saying that I am homeless was merely a sensationalizing stunt done by workers at Spin magazine to sell their story, or make it seem more exciting than it actually is. It makes me feel embarrassed for the truly homeless people to be associated at all in any way with the likes of me. I seem to have been lucky, as most of you, in never having to survive day to day (on the streets) anyway. Furthermore, my friends and family have always been by my side so I have never gone without love, care, food, compassion, and understanding.

"I would actually like to thank whatever editor that played this hand for helping once again bring to light the subject of the homeless and uncared for human beings of this dangerously bleak world.

"I humbly ask for whoever reads this to realize we are all in this together, and try to just remember that once in a while and not only at some convenient time.

"I in no way refute what was written in the article, I say what I mean with someone else's alphabet, so it is no wonder to me that my blathering can be so easily 'shined up' or misinterpreted to whatever purpose, especially to a stranger who has no idea of my horrible humor, or my delusional ideas. There I was thinking I was on top of the world, doing what i love and GET to do (music, I mean). Sure I've been couch surfing, but that's a far cry from the plight of many many millions of good people worldwide.

"I just don't want our loyal and most badderasser fans to be misled, or a bad light to be shone upon my family or friends who have helped me and tried to help me get along. It would be wholly unfair of me after all this to not stand up for them."

Eight years ago the Axl Rose-fronted band was over two hours late at Leeds, and it landed the festival in hot water with the local council. "If GUNS N' ROSES decide to take to stage as late as they did in Leeds some years ago then the performance just won't happen," Melvin Benn told BBC News. Linkin Park's "A Thousand Suns" album drops on September 14th. The first taste of the album will come with the video for the album's first single, "The Catalyst" which premieres at midnight tomorrow on MTV.com and VH1.com, and on the MTV television networks on Thursday. Frontman Mike Shinoda said: "The concept to the video: It kind of comes from the idea of if you could imagine when nuclear fission was invented, or a moment in time when something can be used for positive or negative. Something can be beautiful or it can be destructive. Or even if you've ever seen a dangerous fire from far away, it's devastating up close, but from far away, it can be beautiful. Those are the kind of themes that run throughout the album, and they're also themes that you see in the video."

In a recent interview with U.K.'s Telegraph.co.uk, LED ZEPPELIN singer Robert Plant was asked about the band's reunion in December 2007, with Jason Bonham taking his father's place behind the drum kit. "I really had a wonderful time," said Plant. "It was the best LED ZEPPELIN gig since 1975." When asked if he would do it again, Plant replied, "I don't think so. You've got to have a lot in common with the people you're working with at this time in your life. Everything has to move on and forward, in all relationships. I know that bands that haven't put out a record for 10 years are playing to 20,000 people a night. But that's not the achievement. The achievement is to knock yourself out. It's a very selfish thing. The tail must never wag the dog."

Tommy Lee says that Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is going to be a good judge on "American Idol" because he'll add the excitement that the show lacks, saying: "I know him really well, and he'll f--king kill it. Look, you're judging karaoke, you don't need to be a really super experienced judge for that. But it's nice to have an actual musician in there. He's fun, and he'll keep the show exciting too. He's a good guy for that, I think."
